RE: Do you unhitch while Turtling?

Thats True. My Brake controller will flash red at me If I dont plug it in. LOL! But I could see pulling out at 5am not fully awake and forgetting something. I better drink lots of Camp Coffee before pulling out.

RE: Do you unhitch while Turtling?

Ahh. Thanks for the suggestions. I would have forgot to pull the plug from the TV. I'm not sure what to do about the power tongue jack though. We would pull out around 5am and that thing sounds like a screamin banshee when you hit the lift button. So I don't want to wake anyone up at 5am :)

Do you unhitch while Turtling?

If your making an overnight stop and don't plan on busting out all your equipment and setting up camp, do you unhitch? Are there any dangers in NOT unhitching just for the night?
We plan on coming in late and leaving early and just want to crawl in bed....Thats it. Then in the morning, close the door to the camper and hop in the truck and leave.
I just want to make sure I'm not forgetting something obvious.
Thanks

RE: Black Streaks

Again.... AWESOME! I got it at Dollar Tree for a buck. I sprayed on and wiped it off with a towel and it truely is awesome. I think Ill dilute it in a bucket of water and use my brush to see how that works. For a dollar you cant do better.

RE: Rockwood Trailers

I have a preowned 2005 2602 and we love it. Aside from a couple of aesthetic problems with paneling popping loose, we've had no problems.
I feel they are well built for the money.

RE: AC/Fan wont turn on

UPDATE
I looking through some other threads I saw that someone had their TT hooked up with an extension cord in their garage. This is basically what I'm doing. For Grins and giggles I went in the basement and low and behold I tripped a breaker in the garage!
So I flipped the breaker and the AC was on when I went out to the camper!
Thanks for the tips anyway and I hope this might help out someone else.
Thx

AC/Fan wont turn on

For some reason my AC wont turn on. When I switch it to cool I can hear it click in the AC unit but the fan wont turn on. I looked in the fuse box that is near the floor but there was no red light on (indicating a burnt fuse) I also flipped the breakers for good measure. I checked the 3amp fuse on the AC unit itself, and tried manually spinning the fan by hand.
Also if I turn the fan to 'on' instead of auto, it still wont turn on. What else can I try?
I had just turned the AC off and switched it back on after about 10 seconds. Thought I might have bound up the compressor I waited for about 3 hours to no avail.
Thanks

RE: The End is Here

Even with higher gas prices it's still the best bang for my buck. Plus I dont have to buy cases of Lysol to spray down Hotel Rooms :D

RE: How to store Equalizer?

When ready to leave camp I just take it all all apart and hook up or I have just backed into the hitch without taking it apart.
I don't think I have that much skill. Talk about threading the needle!

RE: Maryland to Florida and $800 in gas

Were going from WI to Yellowston/Tetons for a round trip of about 3,000 miles. It will cost about $1000.00 in gas alone. When you say it out loud it makes you sick but if you say our vacation will cost $1000.00 it only gags me a little :)

Toilet water Pressure weak

I just noticed on out 'New -to-us' 05' Rockwood 2602 that when you pull the handle on the toilet that the water pressure is very low. Now of course I dont want water shooting into the toilet, but really it takes a long time to get any water into the bowl. Is there something I need to check.
BTW...Water pressure is very good in the rest of the TT except the toilet. I had to replace the Kitchen faucet because it was plugged up with sediment (and it was crappy anyway). Is there anything to check on the toilet? Maybe there is sediment in the line?
Thanks Much!!!

How to turn on Propane & Electric for Water Heater?

I cant figure out how to turn on the electric portion of the water heater for faster turnover. It's a DSI so there is just a single switch inside our Rockwood to turn it on and off. I looked at the water heater and didnt see anything there. Am I missing something or does mine not have the electric feature?
Thanks Much

Replace Kitchen Faucet with?

My faucet in the kitchen is in bad shape and needs to be replaced. Can I just go to any home store and replace it with something that has the same footprint as the old one? Or is there something special about the faucet that you have to replace it with a special one?
Ive changed faucets before but wondered if these are more tricky.
Thanks
